Augustine University Secures NUC Accreditation for Four Key Programmes, Strengthens Academic Credibility

Augustine University has received full accreditation approval from the National Universities Commission for its Nursing Science, Business Administration, Political Science, and Chemistry programmes, marking a significant milestone in the institution’s academic development.

The approval was conveyed in an official letter dated April 7, 2026, following a comprehensive accreditation exercise conducted by the Commission in 2025.

The affected programmes had reached their accreditation review cycle, and the successful outcome is regarded as a strong validation of the university’s compliance with national academic standards and quality assurance requirements.

The Vice-Chancellor, Anthony Alaba Akinwale, expressed satisfaction with the development, describing it as a collective achievement driven by the commitment of academic and non-academic staff, students, and other stakeholders.

He noted that the accreditation reinforces confidence in the credibility and quality of the university’s academic offerings and reflects its sustained commitment to institutional excellence.

According to him, the outcome further strengthens Augustine University’s mission of producing graduates equipped with sound academic knowledge, leadership capacity, and strong ethical foundations.
