The university clarified that it does not issue "Honorary Certificates" for undergraduate academic performance and has no degree classification known as "First Class Upper."
According to the institution, any document bearing such claims is fraudulent and should be disregarded. It urged the public, employers and other stakeholders to verify the authenticity of academic credentials through the Office of the Registrar before accepting them.

Babcock University also warned that it would pursue appropriate legal action against individuals or groups responsible for producing and circulating the forged certificates.
The institution reiterated its commitment to protecting the integrity of its academic qualifications and advised the public to remain vigilant against certificate forgery and related scams.
