Benson Idahosa University to Celebrate 21st Convocation Ceremony

Benson Idahosa University in Benin City is set to celebrate its 21st convocation ceremony, marking a significant milestone for 1,084 students who will receive various degrees. The ceremony will take place on Saturday at the Legacy Camp, Okha, Sapele Road, Benin City.

A total of 813 undergraduates and 216 postgraduates will graduate, with 107 students bagging first-class degrees. Other academic achievements include 443 students receiving second-class upper division degrees, 314 students receiving second-class lower degrees, and 51 students receiving third-class degrees.

The convocation ceremony will feature a lecture delivered by Mike Ozekhome, SAN, on Friday, and Senator Tunde Ogbeha will be conferred with an Honorary Doctor of Science (Public Administration) degree. Deserving students will also receive prizes.

The university has achieved full accreditation for all its programs, including postgraduate school, law, medicine, and anatomy. The Vice Chancellor, Prof. John Okhuoya, expressed pride in the university's accomplishments and highlighted the institution's commitment to academic excellence.
