Venite University Students Take Learning Beyond Classroom

Students of Department of Criminology and Security Studies, Venite University, Iloro-Ekiti, on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, visited Ekiti State High Court and Ekiti State Police Headquarters, Ado-Ekiti, as part of University's commitment to experiential learning and real-world industry experience.

Academic field visit was organised by Academic Engagement and Linkages Committee, Venite University, Iloro-Ekiti.

At Ekiti State High Court, students observed court proceedings and saw administration of justice in practice.

They witnessed how cases are called, how evidence is presented, and how fair hearing and rule of law are upheld.

At Ekiti State Police Headquarters, students received practical lessons on crime prevention, community policing, professional crime management, and responsible citizenship.

Visit connected classroom theories with real-world practice and gave students firsthand exposure to key institutions within criminal justice system.

Delegation included Chairman of Academic Engagement and Linkages Committee, representative of Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Ayo Atunramu, Dean of College of Arts, Social and Management Sciences, Heads of Programme for Criminology and Security Studies and Mass Communication, and other members of Linkages Committee.

Dr. Atunramu commended Ekiti State Judiciary and Ekiti State Police Command for their partnership and support in providing practical learning opportunities for Venite University students.

Venite University strongly believes learning goes beyond classroom. Students should gain knowledge, exposure and practical experience needed to thrive in real world.
