Kogi Governor Approves N542m for UTME, Internal Exam fees
Nigeria students in Kogi State Jubilate as Governor Ahmed Ododo approved N542 Million for the payment of 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) fees and other Internal examination fees

Nigerian students in Kogi State have a reason to celebrate as Governor Ahmed Ododo has approved N542 million for the payment of 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) fees and other internal examination fees. This gesture will benefit 18,734 students in public schools across the state .
The approved amount will also cover the Common Entrance Examination (CEE) for 25,100 basic six pupils and Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) fees for 30,500 students in public schools. The breakdown of the approved amount includes N145.4 million for CEE, N215.2 million for BECE, and N181.7 million for UTME fees
This development is in line with the state government's law that provides for free examination registration fees for Kogi students in public primary and secondary schools. The Commissioner for Education, Wemi Jones, praised Governor Ododo for prioritizing access to quality education, which has significantly increased school enrollment rates in the state
