Katsina State Governor, Dikko Umar Radda, recently disclosed that the state government has invested a total of N120 billion in education since 2022. However, available data suggests that Katsina State's education funding has been declining in previous years.According to a report by Agu Kingsley, Programs Manager at CODE, the percentage of the state's budget allocated to education decreased from 30.66% in 2016 to 15.75% in 2019 .

Moreover, the report highlights that the capital budget performance for education in the state was only 35.4% in 2020 and 20.59% in 2021, indicating a significant shortfall in education funding.
