BMU Secures Approval for Bachelor of Radiography Programme

Bayelsa Medical University (BMU), Yenagoa, has secured approval for its Bachelor of Radiography Programme from the Radiographers’ Registration Board of Nigeria (RRBN), following a successful resource verification exercise.
In a letter dated July 28, 2026, signed on behalf of the Registrar/Chief Executive of the RRBN, the Board confirmed that the University’s Radiography programme met the required standards after scoring 50 out of 50 in both academic content and physical facilities at the academic and clinical levels during the resource verification exercise conducted on June 17, 2026.
The approval represents another significant milestone for BMU and reflects the institution’s commitment to delivering quality medical education through modern infrastructure, world-class teaching and strict adherence to regulatory standards.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dimie Ogoina, congratulated the University community on the achievement, describing it as another testament to the institution’s pursuit of excellence under its innovation-driven ASPIRE Agenda.
The approval adds to the growing list of academic achievements recorded by the University and further strengthens BMU’s position as one of Nigeria’s institutions dedicated to medical and health sciences education.
