The Management of Benue State University (BSU), has disowned a social media publication announcing Friday, August 29 and Saturday, August 30, 2026, as dates for the Post-UTME Computer-Based Screening Test for candidates seeking admission into the University.
The University said its attention had been drawn to the publication circulating on social media and categorically stated that the information is not an official communication of Rev. Fr. Moses Orshio Adasu University, Makurdi.
Management clarified that the official date for the 2026/2027 Post-UTME screening exercise has not yet been fixed or released.
Consequently, prospective candidates, parents, guardians and members of the public have been advised not to rely on the dates contained in the circulating publication or make any arrangements based on them.
The University said it is currently finalising arrangements for the screening exercise and that the approved date, schedule, venues and other relevant details would be officially announced as soon as the arrangements are concluded.

Candidates have therefore been strongly advised to disregard unverified information concerning the Post-UTME screening dates and rely only on announcements issued through the University’s official communication channels.
The University regretted any inconvenience or confusion the unauthorised publication may have caused and urged members of the public to be wary of misleading information circulating on social media.
For the avoidance of doubt, no Post-UTME screening date has been officially released by the University as of the date of the statement.
The public will be duly informed when the official date is approved and released.
