BUK Adjusts Second‑Semester Calendar, Mid‑Semester Break Shelved, Combined with Christmas/New Year Holidays

In an official notice published in _Bayero City Kano Bulletin_ (Vol. XLIII No. 83, 27 November 2025, ISSN 0189‑9260), the university’s management has announced the cancellation of the mid‑semester break for the second semester of the 2025/2026 academic session.

The break will be merged with the Christmas and New Year holidays.

Accordingly, all students will commence their Christmas and New Year break on 22 December 2025 and are required to resume academic activities on 10 January 2026 — an extension from the original return date of 3 January 2026. The extended break serves as compensation for the cancelled mid‑semester break.

Students have been advised to take note of the revised dates.
