Bayero University Kano (BUK) has officially reopened for the Second Semester of the 2024/2025 Academic Session, with lectures, Continuous Assessments, and other academic activities now underway across all faculties.

The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics), Professor Ahmad Muhammad Tsauni, who conducted a monitoring visit to several faculties, noted that student attendance at the start of the semester has been low. He urged parents and guardians to remind their wards to return to campus promptly to avoid falling behind in coursework.

Professor Tsauni emphasized that consistent class attendance and active participation in lectures, assignments, group discussions, and projects are crucial for academic success. Lecturers have been instructed to ensure smooth lesson delivery and provide support where needed.

The University administration reaffirmed its commitment to providing a supportive learning environment, encouraging students to utilize available resources such as the university library, online platforms, and consultation with faculty members during office hours.
