CIBN Oyo State Branch Visits UCH, Explores Partnership on Staff Wellness

The Executive of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN), Oyo State Branch, paid a courtesy visit to the management of the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, on Monday, July 13, 2026, at the hospital’s boardroom.  

Representing the Chairman, Mr. Adedayo Adekoya, FCIB, the Vice Chairman I, Mr. Femi Adegbolagun, ACIB, expressed appreciation to the UCH management for the warm reception accorded to the delegation.

The Publicity Secretary of the Institute, Mrs. Eniola Racheal, said the purpose of the visit was to explore areas of collaboration with UCH, particularly around work-life balance for CIBN members. She noted that the proposed partnership would include health talks, with professional health workers guiding members through key wellness processes.

Mrs. Racheal further disclosed that the Institute also runs corporate social responsibility initiatives, including educational outreach programmes for school children and career-oriented mentoring for young people on professional pathways.  

The Chief Medical Director of UCH, Prof. Jesse Abiodun Otegbayo, thanked the delegation for the visit. He commended CIBN for its humanitarian and social service interventions, especially those targeted at students, and pledged the hospital’s willingness to partner with the Institute on programmes that promote staff wellness.
