The management of Crescent University, Abeokuta, has issued an urgent warning to parents and prospective students over the activities of fraudsters posing as admission officers of the institution.

In a statement released on June 29, 2026, the university said its attention had been drawn to individuals impersonating its admission personnel and defrauding unsuspecting admission seekers and their parents.

The institution specifically identified one individual, Dr. Mrs. Faith, using the phone number 08169598464, as allegedly posing as a member of the university's admission staff to scam prospective applicants.

Crescent University warned members of the public not to pay any admission-related fees into private or individual bank accounts. It stressed that all payments should only be made into bank accounts bearing the name of Crescent University, Abeokuta, as published in the university's official publicity materials and on its website.
