Elizade University Inducts Second Set of Professional Nurses
Elizade University, Ilara-Mokin, has inducted 69 professional nurses, marking a significant milestone in healthcare education. The ceremony celebrated the graduates' 100% success rate in Registered Nursing and Midwifery examinations.
Acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Sunday Babatunde Adeyemo, emphasized nursing as a calling rooted in compassion, service, and humanity. The Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria representative, Mrs. Adekemi Awe, cautioned against migrating to war-prone countries, urging graduates to contribute to national development.
Guest Lecturer, Prof. Prisca Adejumo, highlighted the impact of digital tools and AI on nursing, encouraging inductees to blend technology with empathy. Dean, Prof. Omotola Dada, praised the graduates' resilience and creativity, while Acting Head of Department, Dr. Alice Ogundele, noted the demands of modern nursing, requiring leadership, advocacy, and compassion.
