The impressive achievements, recorded across separate national academic competitions, have further enhanced the university's profile within Nigeria's higher education sector while reflecting its commitment to academic excellence and leadership development.

Leading the list of winners was Mercy Nana Bankole, a 400-level student of the Department of Economics, whose scholarly article emerged as the overall best in the national magazine competition organised by the Nigerian Association of Students of Taxation and Allied Courses (NASTAC). Her victory earned her first place and positioned Elizade University among the country's top-performing institutions in academic writing.

Grace Odukomaiya, a 200-level Economics student, also distinguished herself by securing second place in the national essay competition jointly organised by NASTAC and the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN), further highlighting the strength of the university's Tax Club.

The university recorded its third major success when it emerged champion of the inter-university debate organised by the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria for universities across Ondo and Ekiti states.

The winning debating team comprised Damolekun Lawson, a 500-level Law student, Alawe-Avayivu Temiloluwa Glory, also a 500-level Law student, and Adeola Joshua, a 300-level Law student. The team impressed judges with its analytical depth, eloquence and understanding of taxation issues, defeating other participating universities to claim the championship.

The triple achievement has further reinforced Elizade University's growing reputation as a centre for academic excellence, innovation and competitive scholarship.

Receiving the award-winning students at the university's Senate Building, Vice-Chancellor Professor Philip Oguntunde congratulated them on their accomplishments, describing the victories as evidence of the institution's commitment to producing globally competitive graduates.

He said Elizade University is steadily positioning itself as a globally competitive institution through sustained investment in quality teaching, modern learning facilities, research and human capital development.

Registrar Omololu Adegbenro also congratulated the students and encouraged both staff and students to remain committed to excellence, stressing that every achievement should inspire greater accomplishments.

He noted that the latest victories add to the university's growing record of national recognition and further strengthen its reputation as an institution where excellence is intentionally nurtured and rewarded.

University Bursar Olusegun Ajeigbe said the institution remains committed to producing outstanding graduates across diverse disciplines, adding that Elizade University is equipping students with the knowledge and leadership skills required to become future innovators, professionals and change-makers.
