The Federal Polytechnic Ayede Rector, Engr. Dr. Taofeek Adekunle Abdul-Hameed (FNSE), has extended greetings to the Muslim community as the Holy Month of Ramadan begins on 18th February 2026.

In a statement issued through the Acting Director of the Centre for Information, Communication and Public Relations, Mr. Sunday Adepoju (ANIPR), the Rector described Ramadan as a period of fasting, spiritual reflection, self-discipline, and renewed commitment to values that foster harmony and national development.

“Ramadan is not only a season of fasting, but a divine opportunity for personal transformation, compassion, and service to humanity. It reminds us of the virtues of sacrifice, patience, and integrity — values that align with our institutional commitment to excellence,” he said.

Engr. Abdul-Hameed urged members of the Polytechnic community and the broader society to use the period to pray for peace, unity, and sustainable progress within the institution and the nation. He also offered prayers for the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, asking for divine guidance, wisdom, and strength in leadership, and for peace and prosperity across Nigeria.

The Rector reaffirmed the Polytechnic’s dedication to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment where moral values and academic excellence coexist, wishing all Muslim faithful a peaceful and spiritually fulfilling Ramadan.
