Federal Polytechnic Oko Elects Non-Teaching Staff Representative

Prince Johnpaul Udoaku, Head of the Department of Management Information and Communication Technology (MICT), has been elected as the Non-Teaching Staff Representative to the Governing Council of Federal Polytechnic, Oko.

Udoaku won the election with 146 votes, defeating Mr. Norbert Okoli (29 votes) and Ms. Amara Nwosu (9 votes). The result was declared by Deputy Rector (Academic), Dr. Nkiru Akabuike, during an emergency congregation meeting.

Rector Dr. Chioma Irene Awuzie commended the peaceful conduct of the election, free from malpractice and inducement. She welcomed Udoaku to the Governing Council, urging him to contribute effectively.

Colleagues, including Comrade Chibuzo Asomugha and others, congratulated Udoaku, advising him to be humble and open-minded. Udoaku thanked the Rector, management, and congregation for the opportunity, promising to represent non-teaching staff diligently.
