FedPoly Monguno Management Pays Courtesy Visit to Senate Chief Whip

The management team of Federal Polytechnic Monguno, led by the Rector, Dr. Alhaji Umar Bukar, has paid a courtesy visit to the Chief Whip of the Senate, Distinguished Senator Mohammed Tahir Monguno, in Maiduguri.

The visit was aimed at expressing appreciation to the Senator for his sustained support, commitment and numerous interventions towards the Polytechnic.

Over the years, Senator Monguno has facilitated several interventions for the institution, including the construction of the perimeter fence, students’ hostel and ICT Centre, as well as the provision of 18-seater buses.

The interventions have complemented the efforts of the Federal Government and the management of the Polytechnic in creating a more conducive environment for teaching, learning and other academic activities.

During the interaction, Senator Monguno informed the Rector and his entourage that additional developmental projects for the Polytechnic will commence soon.

The projects scheduled for execution include the construction of road networks and drainage systems within the Polytechnic, provision of borehole and furnishing of the ICT Centre.

Speaking during the visit, the Rector, Dr. Bukar, expressed profound appreciation on behalf of the Governing Council, management, staff and students to the Senator for his continued support and commitment to the development of the institution.

The Rector commended Senator Monguno for the various interventions, noting that the projects and facilities have continued to contribute significantly to the growth of the institution and the welfare of its staff and students.

He also appreciated the Senator’s latest commitment towards the construction of road networks and drainage systems, provision of borehole and furnishing of the ICT Centre, saying the road and drainage projects would improve accessibility and enhance the physical environment, while the furnishing of the ICT Centre would complement existing infrastructure and provide a more functional environment for academic and technology-driven activities.

The Rector was accompanied on the visit by the Deputy Rector, Musa Mohammed Grandawa; the Bursar, Aminu Isa J. Cham; the Admission Officer, Alhaji Modu Kolo; and the Students Affairs Officer, Umar Alhaji Goni.
