Five FUTA Students Awarded Scholarships by Mplace Jewels Educational Foundation
Five students of the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) received scholarships from the Mplace Jewels Educational Foundation, Akure, on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, to support their academic pursuits.
Five students of the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) received scholarships from the Mplace Jewels Educational Foundation, Akure, on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, to support their academic pursuits.

Each beneficiary was awarded ₦250,000 to help ease tuition and other educational expenses.
The recipients include Awotayo Dare (Applied Geology, 500 level), Omoniyo Esther (Medical Laboratory Science, 100 level), Otaomokunola Dauda (Mathematical Science, 400 level), Okunnu Abraham (Medicine and Surgery, 300 level), and Aigboje Eyormorgbozara (Industrial Chemistry, 300 level).

Dr. Damilola Oshin, Chief Consultant of Mplace Jewels, represented by Public Relations Officer Oluwaseyi Akinso-Oshin, explained that the scholarship aims to assist students whose parents face financial difficulties. She noted that the beneficiaries were carefully selected based on both merit and need, urging them to uphold the standards that earned them the award.

FUTA Dean of Student Affairs, Professor David Oke, commended the foundation for its generosity, highlighting the challenges students face in meeting educational expenses amid Nigeria’s economic difficulties. He expressed hope that the foundation would expand its support to benefit more students in the future.

On behalf of the beneficiaries, Aigboje Eyormorgbozara expressed gratitude to the foundation, praying for blessings and continued provision for the donors.
