FUE Zaria Student Representative Council Launches Comprehensive Hostel Sanitation and Fumigation Exercise

The Students Representative Council (SRC) of the Federal University of Education (FUE), Zaria, successfully launched a hostel sanitation and fumigation exercise yesterday, Monday, December 15, 2025.

Under the leadership of SRC President Rt. Comrade Yakubu Ibrahim Khalifa, the initiative is designed to promote a clean living environment, safeguard student health, and prepare the campus for student resumption.

Speaking during the exercise, the SRC President emphasized the council's unwavering commitment to ensuring hygienic living conditions, stressing that the sanitation and fumigation efforts would be sustained as student welfare remains a top priority.

The comprehensive cleaning and fumigation, aimed at eliminating insects and potential health hazards, began at the Dr. M. I. Maccido Male Hostel and the Late Dr. Aliyu Shika Female Hostel. The SRC commended student cooperation and urged all residents to maintain cleanliness for a safe and healthy campus environment.
