FUET Invites Qualified Candidates to Apply for 2025/2026 Admission

The Federal University of Environment and Technology (FUET), Koroma/Saakpenwa, Ogoni, Rivers State, has announced the commencement of its admission process for the 2025/2026 Academic Session.

The University invites applications from suitably qualified UTME candidates who scored 150 and above to apply for admission into the available programmes across its six faculties.

According to Dr. Monday D. Mpigi, Registrar of the University, interested candidates are required to initiate a Change of Institution to FUET through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) portal at www.jamb.gov.ng.

Dr. Mpigi emphasized that meeting the minimum UTME score and completing the Change of Institution process does not automatically guarantee admission. He noted that admission will be strictly based on merit, programme-specific requirements, and satisfactory performance in the University’s screening exercise.

Below is the detailed list of Faculties, Departments, and Admission Requirements:

FACULTY OF AGRICULTURE

Programmes:

• B.Agric. Agriculture
• B.Sc. Fisheries and Aquaculture

O'Level Requirements:
Five (5) credits including English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science, and any other Science subject.

UTME Subjects:
Use of English, Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science, and Mathematics/Physics.

Direct Entry:
Two ‘A’ Level passes in Chemistry and Biology/Botany/Zoology/Agricultural Science/Geography/Mathematics/Physics/Geology/Economic, or OND/HND in Agriculture (Upper Credit).

FACULTY OF ALLIED HEALTH SCIENCES

Programmes:

• B.OT. Occupational Therapy
• B.Sc. Public Health and Disaster Management
• B.Sc. Environmental Health and Safety
• B.HIM. Health Information Management

O'Level Requirements:
Five (5) credits including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

UTME Subjects:
Use of English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

Direct Entry:
‘A’ Level passes in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or HND in relevant Allied Health field.

For Public Health, Environmental Health, and Health Information Management, specific variations include combinations with Geography, Economics, or Health Science as applicable.

FACULTY OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY

Programmes:

• B.Eng. Chemical Engineering
• B.Eng. Civil Engineering
• B.Eng. Electrical and Electronics Engineering
• B.Eng. Environmental Engineering
• B.Eng. Petroleum and Gas Engineering

O'Level Requirements:
Five (5) credits including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and any other Science subject.

UTME Subjects:
Use of English, Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.

Direct Entry:
‘A’ Level passes in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry or OND/HND in relevant Engineering fields (Upper Credit).

FACULTY OF ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCES

Programmes:

• B.Sc. Architecture
• B.Sc. Environmental Management and Toxicology
• B.Sc. Surveying and Geoinformatics
• B.Sc. Quantity Surveying

O'Level Requirements:
Five (5) credits including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, and other relevant subjects based on the chosen programme such as Geography, Fine Art, Technical Drawing, or Economics.

UTME Subjects:
Use of English, Mathematics, Physics, and one of Geography, Economics, or Technical Drawing.

Direct Entry:
‘A’ Level passes or OND/HND in relevant fields (Upper Credit).

FACULTY OF NATURAL AND APPLIED SCIENCES

Programmes:

• B.Sc. Computer Science
• B.Sc. Software Engineering
• B.Sc. Cybersecurity
• B.Sc. Biochemistry
• B.Sc. Microbiology

O'Level Requirements:
Five (5) credits including English Language, Mathematics, and three other Science subjects relevant to the chosen discipline.

UTME Subjects:
Use of English, and three subjects related to the intended programme (Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, or Computer Studies).

Direct Entry:
Two ‘A’ Level passes or OND/HND in related Science fields (Upper Credit).

FACULTY OF MANAGEMENT TECHNOLOGY

Programmes:

• B.Sc. Accounting
• B.Sc. Business Administration
• B.Sc. Economics
• B.Sc. Tourism and Hospitality Management
• B.Sc. Logistics and Supply Chain Management

O'Level Requirements:
Five (5) credits including English Language, Mathematics, Economics, and two others from Government, Geography, Commerce, or Accounting.

UTME Subjects:
Use of English, Mathematics, Economics, and one other subject relevant to the chosen programme.

Direct Entry:
Two ‘A’ Level passes in Economics and one other relevant subject, or OND/HND in related fields (Upper Credit).
