FUOYE Vice-Chancellor Inspects Fasina Conference Center Ahead of Commissioning
The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), Prof. Abayomi Sunday Fasina, inspected the Fasina Conference Center ahead of its commissioning on February 17, 2025.

The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), Prof. Abayomi Sunday Fasina, has inspected the newly constructed Fasina Conference Center in preparation for its official commissioning on February 17, 2025. The state-of-the-art facility, with a seating capacity of 250, is set to enhance academic and professional engagements at the university.
Accompanied by members of the university’s management team, Prof. Fasina expressed his satisfaction with the quality and progress of work at the center. He commended the Director of Advancement, Professor Olubukola Oyawoye, for her commitment and efforts in ensuring the timely completion of the project.
The Fasina Conference Center is equipped with cutting-edge technological tools, including smartboards and smart televisions, to enhance learning and conferencing experiences. The facility is also solar-powered, ensuring a sustainable energy source, and features air-conditioned rooms along with kitchen amenities, making it suitable for hosting conferences, workshops, and other academic events.
During the inspection, Professor Oyawoye expressed her appreciation to the Vice-Chancellor for his unwavering support, as well as to the university’s management team, staff, and contributors to the endowment fund that facilitated the construction of the conference center.
“I’m thoroughly impressed,” Prof. Fasina stated. “I never expected a project of this magnitude to be completed before my tenure’s expiration. This is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the Director and her team.”
He further emphasized that with determination and vision, remarkable achievements can be realized, reinforcing the institution’s commitment to excellence.
