FUTA Alumnus Gboyega Adeoya Completes EU–ECOWAS Scholarship Programme
Gboyega Adeoya, an alumnus of the Department of Physics, Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), has successfully completed the European Union–ECOWAS Scholarship Programme, graduating with a Master of Science degree in Energy Studies (Renewable Energy) from the Centre for Petroleum, Energy Economics and Law (CPEEL), Faculty of Multidisciplinary Studies, University of Ibadan.
Gboyega Adeoya, an alumnus of the Department of Physics, Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), has successfully completed the European Union–ECOWAS Scholarship Programme, graduating with a Master of Science degree in Energy Studies (Renewable Energy) from the Centre for Petroleum, Energy Economics and Law (CPEEL), Faculty of Multidisciplinary Studies, University of Ibadan.
The EU–ECOWAS Scholarship Programme is designed to support postgraduate training in the sustainable energy sector at selected universities across West Africa. The initiative aims to expand access to high-quality education, strengthen regional capacity, and equip young professionals from ECOWAS member states with advanced skills required for the region’s energy transition.
Adeoya was among ten scholars selected from across West Africa who completed the rigorous master’s programme and officially graduated at the University of Ibadan in 2025, marking a significant academic milestone and reinforcing FUTA’s growing footprint in advanced energy and sustainability studies.
