The Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) has announced the closure of its online registration portal for the 2026/2027 Post-UTME screening exercise for UTME and Direct Entry (DE) candidates.
The Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) has announced the closure of its online registration portal for the 2026/2027 Post-UTME screening exercise for UTME and Direct Entry (DE) candidates.
The registration portal, which was earlier scheduled to close on July 31, 2026, will now close on Thursday, August 13, 2026.
The exercise is for candidates seeking admission into all courses and programmes of the University for the 2026/2027 academic session.
FUTA stated that the extension is applicable to prospective candidates who made the University their first-choice institution and are yet to complete their screening registration.
Eligible candidates must have scored a minimum of 180 in the 2026 UTME conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB). Direct Entry candidates who selected FUTA as their first-choice institution are also eligible to participate.
Candidates who are yet to complete their registration are advised to visit the University’s official website and complete the process on or before Thursday, August 13, 2026.

The University warned that candidates who fail to participate in the screening exercise will not be considered for admission.
FUTA further stated that candidates seeking admission in the 2026/2027 academic session must be at least 16 years old by September 30, 2026.
In addition, all candidates are required to upload their O’Level results on the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) on or before Thursday, August 13, 2026.
The University cautioned that failure to upload the required O’Level results on JAMB CAPS by the deadline will render affected candidates ineligible for admission.
Candidates are therefore advised to take advantage of the remaining registration period and complete all requirements promptly.
