Gaya Polytechnic Receives Eight Official Vehicles Ahead of Full Take-off

The Chairman of the Gaya Polytechnic Implementation Committee, Prof. Mukhtar Atiku Kurawa, has formally received eight official vehicles from the contractors handling the construction and development of the institution.

The vehicles, which form part of the logistics and operational requirements of the Polytechnic, comprise one Hilux, one Toyota Hiace, five Toyota Corolla vehicles and one Coaster bus.

The vehicles were handed over to the Chairman of the Implementation Committee by the contractors at the project site, marking another significant milestone in the ongoing development and preparations for the effective take-off of Gaya Polytechnic.

According to the Committee, the vehicles will serve various operational purposes. Those designated for Principal Officers will facilitate their official duties and administrative responsibilities, while the remaining vehicles will support day-to-day activities, transportation and general operations of the Polytechnic.

Speaking during the handover, Prof. Kurawa expressed appreciation to the contractors for their commitment to the project and for providing the vehicles as part of the facilities required for the smooth operation of the institution.

He also commended members of the Gaya Polytechnic Implementation Committee for their dedication, teamwork and sustained commitment to the successful implementation of the project, noting that the progress recorded is a result of collective efforts by the Committee, relevant stakeholders and the contractors.

Prof. Kurawa further expressed profound appreciation to the Executive Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, for his continued support and commitment towards the establishment and development of Gaya Polytechnic.

He noted that the provision of the official vehicles is more than just the arrival of transportation facilities, describing it as a practical indication of steady progress being made towards the operational readiness of the institution.

The Chairman reaffirmed the commitment of the Implementation Committee to continue working diligently with the Kano State Government, contractors and other stakeholders to ensure the successful completion and effective take-off of Gaya Polytechnic.
