According to a statement signed by the Registrar, the decision follows the approval granted for students to make use of cooking gas in the hostels. The new policy is aimed at ensuring safety and preventing potential fire hazards within the hostel premises.

The University warned that any student found cooking with charcoal in the hostels will face disciplinary action.
