The management of Gombe State University (GOMSU) has announced a ban on the use of charcoal for cooking within the university hostels.

According to a statement signed by the Registrar, the decision follows the approval granted for students to make use of cooking gas in the hostels. The new policy is aimed at ensuring safety and preventing potential fire hazards within the hostel premises.
