Goodwill Visits Continue as LASU Welcomes Tenth Substantive Vice-Chancellor

The wave of congratulatory visits to Lagos State University (LASU) continued on Thursday, September 24, 2026, as colleagues, stakeholders and friends of the university came together to welcome Professor Ayodeji Olawunmi Badejo, FCASSON, FAPROCON, MNAE, as the institution's 10th substantive Vice-Chancellor.

Visitors from within LASU and beyond conveyed messages of goodwill and support while taking the opportunity to connect with the Vice-Chancellor and her administration.

The university community was well represented, with members of the College of Medicine, the School of Library, Archival and Information Science, the Students' Affairs Division and the Faculty of Management Sciences paying congratulatory visits to the Vice-Chancellor.

The Chairman of the Security Advisory Committee, Professor James Kehinde, was also among those received, alongside members of the LASU Christian Committee.

The goodwill also extended beyond the university, with the Vice-Chairman of Ojo Local Government, Hon. Chimezie Ewerem, paying a congratulatory visit.

The Managing Director of Goldband Technologies Limited, Mr Seyi Odusanya, and Mr Michael Oni, representing the Vincent Family of Lagos, also visited to extend their best wishes.

Several of the visiting groups and guests presented gifts to the Vice-Chancellor as tokens of goodwill.

In her interactions with the various groups and guests, Professor Badejo expressed appreciation for their warm wishes, kind words and thoughtful gestures.

She acknowledged their contributions to the university and welcomed the opportunity to deepen the relationships between LASU and its stakeholders.

The continued visits and messages of goodwill reflect the broad network of relationships surrounding Lagos State University as the new administration settles into office, adding to the goodwill surrounding Professor Badejo's early days as Vice-Chancellor.
