The university, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary (2006–2026), invited suitably qualified UTME and Direct Entry candidates to apply for admission into the programme.
According to the university, the Library and Information Science programme is designed to equip students with the knowledge and practical skills required to organise, manage and disseminate information in an increasingly digital world.

Students enrolled in the programme will also receive training in:
