Application Procedure
- Candidates who selected JBU as their first-choice institution on the 2026/2027 JAMB CAPS portal and scored 150 or above are eligible for post-UTME screening.
- Candidates who did not initially choose JBU may change their institution to JBU on JAMB CAPS, provided they meet the minimum UTME score.
- Applicants must complete the application online via the university portal https://jbu.edu.ng and pay a non-refundable application fee of ₦20,000 (excluding portal access charges).
- Successful candidates will receive formal admission notifications via the university portal and JAMB CAPS.
- Candidates must accept the admission offer through JAMB CAPS once notified.
Direct Entry Admission
JBU also accepts Direct Entry (DE) applications from candidates holding ND, NCE, HND, IJMB, JUPEB, GCE A’Level, or other recognized equivalents. Applicants must:
- Possess a valid JAMB Direct Entry registration number.
- Have a minimum of five (5) O’level credit passes in relevant subjects (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB) obtained in not more than two sittings.
- Meet subject and age requirements (minimum 16 years old).
- Community Health Extension Workers (CHEW) with valid professional licenses are also eligible.
Eligibility
All applicants must have at least five credit passes in relevant subjects obtained in WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB (not more than two sittings). UTME and O’level subject combinations must align with national admission policies.
