Kashim Ibrahim University Hosts RRBN Team for Accreditation of Medical Radiography Programme

Kashim Ibrahim University (KIU) has received a team from the Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria (RRBN) for resource assessment and accreditation of its Department of Medical Radiography.

The team was led by Registrar and Chief Executive Officer of the Board, Dr. Idris Garba.

The exercise is part of RRBN's statutory mandate to ensure compliance with training standards, professional ethics and regulatory requirements for radiography education in Nigeria.

During the visit, the team is expected to inspect facilities including laboratories, classrooms, clinical posting sites, equipment, staff strength and academic curriculum to ascertain readiness of Department for full accreditation.

Speaking during reception of the team, Management of KIU reaffirmed its commitment to providing quality health sciences education and to meeting all requirements stipulated by RRBN and National Universities Commission (NUC).

The University expressed optimism that outcome of assessment would further strengthen its Medical Radiography programme and position Department for greater contribution to healthcare manpower development in the country.

The accreditation visit underscores KIU's drive to expand its academic programmes while maintaining quality, professionalism and compliance with regulatory standards.
