Lagos State University Vice‑Chancellor Appointed to NgREN/TERAS Governing Board

Professor Ibiyemi Ibilola Olatunji‑Bello, Vice‑Chancellor of Lagos State University (LASU), was formally inaugurated as a member of the Governing Board of the Nigerian Research and Education Network (NgREN)/Tertiary Education Research Applications and Services (TERAS) Integration on Friday, 28 November 2025.

The inauguration took place at the UBEC Digital Resource Centre, Abuja, during the Mid‑term Co‑Creation Workshop jointly convened by the Federal Ministry of Education and the Federal Ministry of Communication and Digital Economy.

The newly reconstituted Board was inaugurated by Honourable Minister of Education Dr Maruf Olatunji Alausa and Honourable Minister of Communication and Digital Economy Dr Bosun Tijani. It is tasked with advancing Nigeria’s national agenda of enhancing connectivity, strengthening research collaboration and improving digital readiness across tertiary education and research institutions.

The LASU community congratulated Professor Olatunji‑Bello and all appointees, wishing them success as they undertake this significant national responsibility. “We are LASU, We are Great!” the university said in its statement.
