LASCOHET Students Join Nationwide 2026 Community Health Professional Qualifying Examination

Final-year students of the School of Community Health, Lagos State College of Health Technology (LASCOHET), have joined Community Health students from accredited institutions across Nigeria for the 2026 Professional Qualifying Examination organised by the Community Health Practitioners Registration Board of Nigeria (CHPRBN).

The examination marks an important stage in the academic and professional journey of the students, providing candidates with an opportunity to demonstrate the knowledge, skills and competencies acquired during their training in community health.

The CHPRBN is the regulatory body responsible for regulating the practice and professional standards of community health practitioners in Nigeria. The Board also maintains records of accredited training institutions and coordinates the indexing of students in the profession.

Speaking on the examination, the Provost of LASCOHET, Prof. Raheem Akewushola, said the participation of the College’s final-year students in the national examination underscores its commitment to producing competent, ethical and professionally prepared allied health practitioners capable of contributing meaningfully to healthcare delivery, particularly at the primary healthcare level.

Prof. Akewushola commended the students for their dedication and urged them to approach the examination with confidence, discipline and a strong sense of professional responsibility.

The Provost also, on behalf of the College Management, appreciated the lecturers and academic staff of the School of Community Health for their commitment to preparing the students for the professional examination.
