The Management of Lagos State University (LASU), on the directive of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ibiyemi Ibilola Olatunji-Bello, has approved the complete abolition of paper-based memoranda across all academic, administrative, and support units of the University.

The Management of Lagos State University (LASU), on the directive of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ibiyemi Ibilola Olatunji-Bello, has approved the complete abolition of paper-based memoranda across all academic, administrative, and support units of the University.

Effective Date

  • Full implementation begins Saturday, 1 February 2026
  • All new internal memoranda must be processed exclusively via the LASU Electronic Memorandum System (LASU-eMS)

Transition Period

  • 1 February – 14 February 2026: Approved strictly for clearing paper-based memoranda already in circulation
  • From 15 February 2026: Paper-based memoranda will no longer be accepted or processed

Mandatory Platform

  • LASU-eMS is designated as the sole official internal memorandum processing platform of the University
  • All staff are required to comply fully with this directive

Training and Preparedness
