LASUSTECH Achieves 93% Success Rate in 2025 NUC Accreditation Exercise

Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH) has achieved remarkable success in the 2025 accreditation exercise conducted by the National Universities Commission (NUC).

The institution secured full accreditation in 13 out of the 14 undergraduate programmes presented, with only one programme receiving interim accreditation. In addition, LASUSTECH earned full accreditation for Architecture from the Architects Registration Council of Nigeria.

The accredited programmes include Industrial Mathematics, Insurance, Tourism and Hospitality Management, Estate Management and Valuation, Quantity Surveying, Building Technology, Urban and Regional Planning, Food Science and Bio-Technology, Agriculture and Biosystems Engineering, Civil and Construction Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Mechatronics Engineering. Electrical and Electronics Engineering received interim accreditation. 

With this outcome, LASUSTECH has now successfully presented 39 programmes for accreditation since its establishment, without a single failure. Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olumuyiwa Omotola Odusanya, expressed gratitude to staff and students for their dedication, describing the achievement as a collective triumph. He urged the University community to sustain the momentum as preparations begin for the 2026 accreditation exercise.
