McPherson University, Ogun State, has marked World Antimicrobial Awareness Week with a campus-wide campaign to educate students and staff on the dangers of antimicrobial resistance.

The event, organized by the Faculty of Medical Laboratory Science, aimed to promote responsible drug use and highlight the importance of antimicrobial stewardship.

The campaign included a sensitization session and awareness walk, where participants displayed placards and banners with key messages on preventing antimicrobial resistance. The event emphasized the need for collective action to address the growing health concern, echoing this year's global theme: "Act Now, Protect Our Present & Secure Our Future."
