MLSCN Assessment Team Visits ACU Vice-Chancellor Ahead of Final Medical Laboratory Science Examinations

Representatives of the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN) have paid a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor of Ajayi Crowther University (ACU), Prof. Ebunoluwa Oduwole, as part of their assessment of the university’s Final Professional Examination in Medical Laboratory Science.

Representatives of the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN) have paid a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor of Ajayi Crowther University (ACU), Prof. Ebunoluwa Oduwole, as part of their assessment of the university’s Final Professional Examination in Medical Laboratory Science.

The visit took place at the Vice-Chancellor’s office on Tuesday, September 1, 2026.

The MLSCN team, led by Prof. Isiaq Omotesho on behalf of the Council Registrar, conveyed the Council’s greetings to the Vice-Chancellor and reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Ajayi Crowther University in producing graduates who uphold the integrity and professional standards of medical laboratory science.

Prof. Omotesho said the Council was ready to work with the university to ensure that its graduates were adequately grounded and professionally competent.

“We are ready to work with Ajayi Crowther University to ensure that your graduates are well-grounded and professionally sound,” he stated.

The team also provided constructive recommendations on areas where improvements could be made to further enhance the quality of the programme for the benefit of students and other stakeholders.

Responding, Prof. Oduwole welcomed the assessors and expressed the university’s appreciation for their visit. She reiterated ACU’s commitment to academic excellence and urged the team to conduct the assessment thoroughly and without compromise.

“At Ajayi Crowther University, we are passionate about maintaining the highest standards in all our academic programmes. I wish you a productive and pleasant stay on our campus,” the Vice-Chancellor said.

Giving an update on the assessment schedule, the Dean, Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences, Prof. Moses Akinbinu, disclosed that the assessors had completed the first phase of their assignment.

He explained that the team would proceed to assess students during their practical classes before concluding the exercise with the project defence sessions.

The visit underscores Ajayi Crowther University’s continued commitment to excellence in medical education and compliance with national regulatory standards.

Other members of the MLSCN assessment team are Prof. Ngozi Adejumo, Dr. Taiwo Oke, Dr. Wakil Alade and Dr. Blessing Ajileye.
