Modibbo Adama University Issues Notice to Freshers Over Portal Access Challenges
The management of Modibbo Adama University (MAU), Yola, has issued a formal clarification to newly admitted students regarding difficulties currently being experienced in accessing the university portal.
In a notice released by the university’s Information and Publicity Officer on Friday, January 9, 2026, the institution addressed complaints from students receiving "invalid username" or "invalid password" error messages during login attempts.
The university explained that the access issues are a result of the ongoing data migration process. Student information is currently being uploaded in batches. While many freshers have already successfully logged in and completed their registration, others will remain unable to access the system until their specific data set is fully integrated.
"There is no cause for alarm," the statement read. "You will only be able to register once your information has been successfully uploaded to the system."
The MAU Admissions Office confirmed it is working in close collaboration with the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Unit to expedite the process. Technical teams are active in ensuring all admitted students are captured on the digital registry as soon as possible.
Advice to Students
Affected students are advised to:
Remain Patient: The delay is temporary and technical, not an indication of admission status issues.
Check Periodically: Students should continue to attempt portal access at intervals.
Monitor Official Channels: Any further updates regarding the MAU Registration Portal will be communicated through the university's official Information Unit.
The university thanked the new students for their understanding as it works to streamline the 2025/2026 academic session registration exercise.
