NANS Southwest Felicitates Prof Oladipo on Appointment as TASFUED Vice-Chancellor

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Southwest Zone, has congratulated Professor Ekundayo Oladipo on his appointment as Vice-Chancellor of the Tai Solarin University of Education, describing the development as a new phase of academic and institutional progress.

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Southwest Zone, has congratulated Professor Ekundayo Oladipo on his appointment as Vice-Chancellor of the Tai Solarin University of Education, describing the development as a new phase of academic and institutional progress.

The congratulatory message was delivered during a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor by a delegation led by the Executive Director, Special Duties, NANS Southwest Zone, Comrade Salako Olawale Ayomipo.

He described the appointment as a significant milestone for the institution, noting that it signals what he termed a new era of intellectual growth, innovation, and transformative leadership.

According to him, Professor Oladipo’s academic background and administrative experience position him as a custodian of institutional values capable of strengthening academic standards, promoting research excellence, and enhancing student development.

He further expressed confidence that the new leadership would drive progressive reforms and foster an enabling environment for teaching, learning, and innovation within the university system.

In his response, Professor Oladipo appreciated the delegation for the visit and goodwill message, while calling for sustained collaboration among students, management, and other stakeholders in building a stronger institutional framework.

He emphasized the importance of collective responsibility in advancing the university’s vision and developing a globally competitive academic environment.

The NANS delegation included Comrade Asade Mubarak Oluwasegun, Administrative Secretary; Comrade Olaoye Islamiat, Director of Anti-Drug and Substance Abuse; Comrade Ogunfowora Oluwashinaayomi Benjamin, TASFUED Students’ Union President; and Distinguished Senator Oluwaseyi Bakare, Students’ Union Senate President.

Members of the university management present at the meeting included the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration), Professor Adekunle Adeogun; Registrar and Secretary to Council, Mr Dapo Oke; University Librarian, Professor Adebambo Oduwole; and University Bursar, Mr Kabiru Ogunneye.
