The new Registrar of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Dr. Chinenye Gloria Okeke, FNIM, FCILGPA, FCAI, ACIS, has pledged her commitment to electronic administration (e-administration) as she formally assumed office.

The new Registrar of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Dr. Chinenye Gloria Okeke, FNIM, FCILGPA, FCAI, ACIS, has pledged her commitment to electronic administration (e-administration) as she formally assumed office.

Speaking during the official handover ceremony on Monday, August 18, 2025, Dr. Okeke expressed gratitude to God for His benevolence and to the University Governing Council, led by the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman, Barr. Monsur Olugbenga Kukoyi, for entrusting her with the appointment.

She assured the university community that her office would remain open to all, emphasizing teamwork, collaboration, and the collective progress of the institution. She highlighted technology-driven administration as a key part of her vision, urging staff to embrace innovation to enhance efficiency and service delivery.

The Immediate Past Acting Registrar, Mr. Victor Modebelu, in his remarks, congratulated Dr. Okeke and described her as a workaholic capable of delivering on her mandate. He called on staff to give her full support for the growth and progress of the university. He also gave thanks to God for making the transition possible, noting the significance of appointing a substantive Registrar from within the institution.

The brief ceremony was attended by top officials of the university, including the immediate past Registrar, Barr. Philomina Okoye, Deputy Registrars, Acting Director of Information and Public Relations, Mr. Njelita Louis, among others. The event featured the formal handover and a prayer session led by Rev. Fr. Ezonu.
