The Alumni Association of Nasarawa State University (NSU), Keffi, has donated medical consumables worth over ₦3.2 million to strengthen healthcare delivery at the university’s medical centre.

The Alumni Association of Nasarawa State University (NSU), Keffi, has donated medical consumables worth over ₦3.2 million to strengthen healthcare delivery at the university’s medical centre.

The donation was presented by the Alumni President, Barr. Nuhu John Egya, to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Sa'adatu Hassan Liman, during a visit by a delegation of association officials and stakeholders on Tuesday.

Barr. Egya explained that the contribution includes essential items such as gloves of various types, syringes, HIV/AIDS testing kits, plasters, spirits, and assorted drugs. He described the donation as the first phase of a strategic partnership aimed at improving the welfare of the university community. In presenting the items, he also solicited further collaboration and support from the University management to enable members to excel in their respective fields.

Receiving the donation, Prof. Liman expressed satisfaction with the Alumni Association’s efforts to strengthen ties with the university. She commended the new leadership for redefining the association’s role and assured that the items would be properly utilised for the benefit of the users.

The Vice-Chancellor encouraged the Alumni Executive Committee to create a digital data bank of members nationally and internationally to leverage untapped resources for the Association and the university. She also urged the alumni to expedite the completion of their secretariat project to provide adequate accommodation for effective operations and leadership.

The current NSU Alumni leadership under Barr. Nuhu J. Egya assumed office on June 4, 2025, with a commitment to revitalise activities for the benefit of both members and the university community, a pledge now being actively fulfilled, according to God’spower Ede, National Public Relations Officer of the NSU Alumni Association.
