Nasarawa State University has expressed appreciation to the Nasarawa State Government and security agencies following the safe release of students of the Faculty of Engineering who were recently abducted in Gudi.

In a statement issued by the university management, the institution specifically commended the Governor of Nasarawa State, Abdullahi A. Sule, and the Nigeria Police Force for their swift intervention and coordinated efforts that led to the successful rescue of the students.

The university described the development as a major relief to the institution after days of anxiety and concern within the university community following the abduction incident.

According to the statement, the collaborative response by the state government and security agencies reflected a strong commitment to protecting lives and ensuring the safety of students and residents across the state.

The management particularly praised the professionalism, courage, and dedication displayed by officers of the Nigeria Police Force and other security operatives involved in the rescue operation.

The Vice-Chancellor of the university, Sa’adatu Hassan Liman, on behalf of the Governing Council, Senate, staff, and students, extended further appreciation to the Nasarawa State Government, security agencies, and all individuals who contributed to the successful outcome of the rescue operation.
