As part of strategic efforts to strengthen ties with its global alumni network, the management of Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), paid a formal visit to the Taraba State Government on Monday, March 16, 2026.
The delegation, led by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research, Innovation, and Linkages), Associate Professor K’tso Nghargbu, representing Vice-Chancellor Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman, was received at the Government House in Jalingo.
The primary objective of the visit was to formally invite the Executive Governor of Taraba State, His Excellency, Dr. Agbu Kefas—a distinguished alumnus of the university—to the institution's upcoming Convocation Ceremony and landmark 25th Silver Jubilee Anniversary. The commemorative events are scheduled to take place from Wednesday, April 8, to Saturday, April 11, 2026.
During the engagement, Associate Professor Nghargbu emphasized the university’s commitment to fostering institutional growth through active collaboration with its alumni. He noted that the participation of high-profile graduates like Governor Kefas is pivotal to advancing NSUK’s academic and developmental goals.
Responding on behalf of the Governor, the Chief of Staff, Dr. Jeji Williams (mni), thanked the university management for the honor. He described Governor Kefas as a "reliable partner in the pursuit of academic excellence" and reaffirmed the administration's dedication to supporting NSUK’s vision of becoming a premier citadel of learning.
