NSUK Vice-Chancellor and Minister Imaan Conferred with Prestigious Traditional Titles

In a landmark ceremony on Saturday, 20th December 2025, His Royal Highness Alhaji Dr. Shehu Chindo Yamusa III, CON, Emir of Keffi and Chancellor of Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), conferred distinguished traditional titles on two eminent daughters of Keffi, recognising their exceptional contributions to society.

In a landmark ceremony on Saturday, 20th December 2025, His Royal Highness Alhaji Dr. Shehu Chindo Yamusa III, CON, Emir of Keffi and Chancellor of Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), conferred distinguished traditional titles on two eminent daughters of Keffi, recognising their exceptional contributions to society.

The Vice-Chancellor of NSUK, Prof. Sa’adatu Hassan Liman, Fellow of UNESCO, ACLS, FIIFPN, CBER, was honoured with the chieftaincy title Jaruman Sarkin Keffi (The Valiant Champion), while the Honourable Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Hajia Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, FSI, received the title Yar Amana of Keffi (The Daughter of Trust).

In his address, the Emir stated that the titles were conferred to celebrate the invaluable contributions of the awardees, whose achievements have elevated the profile of Keffi, Nasarawa State, and Nigeria on both national and global platforms. He highlighted their exemplary leadership, service, and dedication as factors that continue to bring pride and development to the community.

Responding on behalf of both honourees, Prof. Liman expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Emir and pledged their continued commitment to uphold the trust and confidence reposed in them, while promoting the values, image, and development of the Keffi Emirate.

The ceremony was attended by traditional rulers, government officials, community leaders, and well-wishers, all celebrating the remarkable achievements and service of the two distinguished awardees.
