NSUK Vice-Chancellor Receives Caliphate Prestigious Award
The Vice-Chancellor of Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman (Fellow UNESCO, ACLS, AHP, FIIFP, CBER), has been honoured with the Prestigious Sultanate Award in recognition of her remarkable contributions to intellectual advancement, exemplary leadership, and commitment to the ideals of the Sokoto Caliphate.
The Vice-Chancellor of Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman (Fellow UNESCO, ACLS, AHP, FIIFP, CBER), has been honoured with the Prestigious Sultanate Award in recognition of her remarkable contributions to intellectual advancement, exemplary leadership, and commitment to the ideals of the Sokoto Caliphate.

The award was presented during the 12th Shaikh Uthman Bn Fodiyo Lecture Series, held to mark the 19th anniversary of the reign of His Eminence, Alhaji Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar III, CFR, the 20th Sultan of Sokoto.
During her visit, Professor Liman held strategic discussions with the Executive Governors of Sokoto and Taraba States—both distinguished alumni of NSUK—on advancing the university’s growth, innovation, and development.
The Vice-Chancellor also paid a courtesy visit to His Eminence, the Sultan of Sokoto, to seek his royal blessings and guidance as she continues to steer the university toward academic and institutional excellence.

Professor Liman was accompanied by Council Member, Dr. Ahmed Gero; the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration); the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research, Innovation & Linkages); and the Director of NSUK Consult. Also present at the event was the First Gentleman of NSUK, Dr. Hassan Muhammad Liman, SAN, MON, FCIArb, who led the Vice-Chancellor’s family delegation.
