NYSC Appeals to Kaduna Governor for Permanent Orientation Camp and Improved Welfare
The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Kaduna State has made a heartfelt appeal to Governor Uba Sani to provide a permanent orientation camp and enhance the welfare of corps members serving in the state.
The NYSC State Coordinator, Mrs. Efeke Murna Dadaza, emphasized the need for a conducive atmosphere to facilitate the successful conduct of the NYSC program.
Governor Uba Sani, represented by the Commissioner for Youth Development, Barrister Gloria Ibrahim, assured the NYSC of his administration's commitment to the security and welfare of corps members and staff across the state. He urged the corps members to be good ambassadors of their families and the scheme by engaging in community development projects.
The NYSC's permanent orientation camp, also known as the Black Gold Camp, is located along the Kaduna-Abuja expressway. However, due to security concerns, the camp was relocated to a temporary site at Government College, Kurmin Mashi.
The Kaduna State Government has expressed its commitment to providing necessary support to ensure a productive and rewarding service year for the corps members.
