The Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) community is set to welcome the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, for a historic official visit on Thursday, 29th January, 2026.
The visit marks a major milestone for the institution, featuring the commissioning of multi-million naira infrastructure and transportation assets aimed at enhancing student welfare and academic life.
The University community is enjoined to:
Cooperate fully with security personnel and official directives.
Maintain the highest level of decorum during the visit.
Monitor official channels for further updates on restricted movement and specific program schedules.
Management has called on all members of the OAU community to accord the First Lady and the Ooni of Ife a reception befitting their exalted offices.
