OGITECH Receives NBTE Approval to Launch Five New Academic Programmes
The Ogun State Institute of Technology (OGITECH), Igbesa, has secured approval from the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) to commence five new academic programmes.
The Ogun State Institute of Technology (OGITECH), Igbesa, has secured approval from the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) to commence five new academic programmes.
The approval followed a quality assurance and resource inspection exercise conducted by the NBTE from Monday, July 20, to Wednesday, July 22, 2026.
The Rector of the Polytechnic, Dr. Abiodun Oluseye, announced the development during an executive management meeting held at his office on Thursday, July 30, 2026.
The newly approved programmes are:
- ND Mechatronics
- ND Crime Management
- ND Office Technology and Management
- HND Civil Engineering
- HND Electrical/Electronics Engineering (Power and Machine Option)
The Polytechnic has invited qualified candidates to apply for admission into the newly approved programmes as admissions for the 2026/2027 academic session are ongoing.

Admission Requirements
National Diploma (ND)
- Candidates must have scored a minimum of 120 in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
- Candidates must possess at least five credit passes in the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE), including English Language and Mathematics, in relevant subjects.
Higher National Diploma (HND)
- Holders of National Diploma (ND) certificates from recognised institutions are eligible to apply for admission into OGITECH's HND programmes.
