Ramatu Liman Emerges New Chairman as NSUK Registry Welfare Scheme Inaugurates Executive Committee

Hajia Ramatu Ahmed Liman, Esq. has assumed leadership of the Registry Welfare Scheme of Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), following the inauguration of a new Executive Committee charged with advancing the welfare and collective interests of members.

The colourful inauguration and certificate presentation ceremony, held at the University’s Senate Chamber, marked the beginning of a new chapter for the Scheme as the newly elected executives formally took over its affairs.

In her acceptance speech, the new Chairman expressed deep appreciation to members for the confidence reposed in her and her team, pledging to justify the trust through purposeful, transparent and inclusive leadership.

Hajia Liman said the welfare of members would remain the central priority of her administration, promising to pursue initiatives that would strengthen the Scheme, promote members’ interests and contribute to its sustainable growth.

She identified accountability, credibility, transparency, inclusiveness and effective leadership as the core values that would guide the administration.

“The welfare and interests of our members will remain the major priority of this administration, and we will work diligently to make the organisation proud.”

She called for unity, cooperation and continued support from members, noting that the success of the new administration would depend on collective commitment.

Speaking at the occasion, the Registrar of the University and Patron of the Registry Welfare Scheme, Dr. Bala I. Ahmed II, commended the peaceful electoral process and appreciated the outgoing Executive Committee for its service and contributions to the Scheme.

The Registrar charged the new executives to uphold the confidence reposed in them by members, urging them to discharge their responsibilities with diligence, transparency and a strong sense of purpose.

He particularly encouraged the new Chairman to introduce innovative ideas and progressive initiatives that would enhance staff welfare and further strengthen the Scheme.

Earlier, the outgoing Chairman, Alhaji Umar Shehu, formally handed over the leadership of the Scheme to the new Executive Committee.

Alhaji Shehu expressed appreciation to the Patron and members for their support throughout his tenure, stressing that the achievements recorded under his administration were made possible by the collective commitment and cooperation of members.

He urged the new leadership to sustain the gains already recorded while maintaining the principles of accountability, transparency and good governance.

The highlight of the ceremony was the administration of the oath of office and presentation of certificates to the newly elected executives.

In his vote of thanks, the newly elected Secretary, Mr. Wakaso Mohammed Osana, assured members of the commitment of the new team to working collectively towards taking the Scheme to greater heights.

The ceremony concluded with a commemorative group photograph, as members expressed optimism about the new administration and its commitment to strengthening the welfare and unity of the Registry community.
