Reacting to the development, Vice-Chancellor Professor Shadrach Akindele described the approval as a landmark achievement for the university and expressed gratitude to all stakeholders who contributed to the success.
"First and foremost, all the glory goes to God for making this possible. We want to thank the Visitor to the University, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, for his constant support throughout this journey.
"We also appreciate the proprietors of the university, the Board of Trustees, Council members, and our staff, as well as our beloved parents and students for their roles in making this feat a reality," he said.
Professor Akindele noted that the university would continue to pursue higher standards of excellence across all disciplines.
"This is certainly not our final destination. We have set our sights on becoming the foremost training institution in Nigeria, not only in medicine but also across all faculties at Redeemer’s University. When it comes to quality education with godly character, parents will have every reason to choose Redeemer’s University," he added.
