RSU Begins 2026/2027 Admission Clearance, Announces Deadline

Rivers State University (RSU) has commenced the admission clearance exercise for candidates offered provisional admission for the 2026/2027 academic session.
According to a notice signed by the Registrar of the University, Dr Idanyingi I. Daminabo, the clearance exercise is for all candidates who have accepted their admission offers on the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS).
The Registrar directed admitted candidates to log on to the University Candidate Admission Portal at:
Candidates are required to use their JAMB Registration Number and other required login details to commence the clearance process.
The candidates are expected to complete the online clearance and pay the prescribed acceptance and other preliminary fees through the portal.
They are also required to upload scanned copies of the following documents:
- JAMB Admission Letter
- JAMB UTME Result Slip
- O’Level result(s)
- Birth Certificate or Declaration of Age/Attestation of Birth
- Local Government Identification
The notice further stated that candidates with two sittings of O’Level results are required to upload both results.
According to Dr Daminabo, candidates are also required to download and print the relevant forms from the portal for submission during the physical clearance exercise at their respective Faculties.
The clearance exercise will run from September 23 to November 30, 2026. Candidates who fail to complete the clearance within the stipulated period may risk losing their admission offers.
The Registrar further warned that all information and documents submitted during the clearance exercise must correspond with candidates’ records on JAMB CAPS.
Candidates found to have submitted false or altered documents risk having their admissions withdrawn at any stage of their studies.
The notice added that upon completion of the online clearance, candidates are required to submit the downloaded and duly completed forms to their respective Faculties for the opening of their files.
