In a major step toward internationalization, Sule Lamido University (SLUK), Kafin Hausa, has formalized a strategic partnership with Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) through a virtual Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed on Tuesday, January 6, 2026.

The agreement aims to bolster academic excellence by fostering collaborative research, staff capacity development, and the exchange of global best practices in teaching and innovation.

Speaking during the virtual ceremony, the Vice-Chancellor of SLUK, Professor Muhammad Ibrahim Yakasai, emphasized that the partnership aligns with the university's core mission of knowledge advancement. He expressed confidence that the MoU would serve as a solid foundation for enduring cooperation, contributing significantly to mutual institutional growth.
